Even the majority of Congress are deemed as felons, or should be. In essense, there is no equality and anyone that believes there is, remains in a bubble.
But alright, I understand that people want lables for everything....
As far as lists, there are people on the Illinois sexual predator list that are actually married to the victim (they were say 18 and almost 16 at the time), 4 kids and 10 years later, while another was convicted of violent rape, but 7 years later, also walking the streets....
It is all to the discernment of the individual, their present and anticipated future, as a felony conviction that initially appears as basically of no relevance by a potential partner, can and could be a detriment to same with something as simple as a future home loan, or even custody or visitation of children.==========...
Having said that, I have worked on prisons before as a contractor and if asked, most everyone in there was innocent, or they had a bad lawyer, a bad break, etc.
and typically attempt to diminish the fact of why they were convicted. Yet, I can see their point, as OJ walked away from murder, while the poor simply go to jail... Cops, judges, politicians, with their families and friends walk every day of the week, for what the average citizen would be incarcerated for. And don't forget the rampant political pardons from Governors and Presidents.
Sophie is the kind of person, that if you met her, you would never in a million years believe that she had been a drug addict. There is no one, less likely than her of committing a crime, and yet in active addiction she did.
