I know people who are EX drug addicts, you would never ever know what they once were.
I'm just wondering if it is worth it so stick around? I really hurt the person who was trying to help me the first time by getting him to fill all my needs.

Before diving into a relationship, find out if your prospective partner is actively using drugs or alcohol, or if they display addictive or compulsive patterns in other areas (e.g., gambling, work, sex, food or spending).
If you care about someone in active addiction, help them into treatment and hold off on turning a friendship into more until they’re grounded in their recovery.
Some of my friends got hooked themselves doing this. I told him he should go get some help, he told me AGAIN that he can do it by himself.
getting involved will help him get better in the long run... It never worked out well for me when I was doing that stuff......a matter of fact, it didn't turn out well for anyone I knew who was trying to keep people off drugs. Its hard 2 leave him after almost 2 yrs of helping him!
