The Lighthouse cinema pulls out the stops every Valentine’s day.
The invite only event at the newly reopened Tallaght branch takes place on February 12th and is open to anyone single and looking for romance.
A Dublin branch of Lidl is holding a one-off singles’ shopping night next month ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Once those 3 minutes are up, you’ll move on to the next in line.
Who do you connect with - who are you instantly attracted to?
You don't actually need a dog to attend - the event is for humans after all - so come and get to know some new people and their furry friends (something we have been assured which is NOT a euphemism).
As any sane, sound and super person will attest, having a dog makes someone a billion times more attractive, and even if a date doesn't go well you might just make a little puppy friend for life. It is that incredibly painful time of year where single folk are made feel like shit for not having met the partner of their dreams yet, by all the loved up couple out drinking champagne and licking strawberries off each other.Fear not though, single folk as the good news is there are a bunch of events out there that cater for you!If you’re taking part, you’ll be given a “discreet badge” to wear as you do your shopping, to help identify yourself to other singles. You’ll be asked to answer three simple questions, and a selection of people will then be chosen to attend the event. Any potential matches will be invited into the “designated love zone,” where there will be chocolate, nibbles and Prosecco on hand for the perfect mini-date. OK so the format was around back in the 90s but at least you know what you are going to get.
