It seems that complaint report on the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD has finally paid off.
This is what happened to me when I tried to update firmware .
I used the Samsung Studio PC updater and, after it detected the version firmware installed and displayed the new one available, it would not begin to load it.
Unfortunately, this didn't happen and Samsung only managed to launch two pieces of firmware that can be used to update phones with Italian firmware or Orange UK's branded software.
Those that didn't buy their phones from Italy or Orange UK will receive an error message when trying to update their smartphones through Samsung PC Studio 18.104.22.168, which will say that their phone is not supported.
Anyways, in this post, I’ll try to make a definitive guide to upgrading your Omnia without you doing a lot of Googling.
WARNING: Updating your Firmware may cause damage to your Omnia if not done properly.
I am currently having issues updating my Samsung Omnia 7, it is on T-Mobile (UK), it currently operates OS version 7.0.7004 (as it was delivered to me) and I would like to update it.
My Zune software is up to date and I run Windows XP Professional SP3 (with all latest updates plus automatic updates enabled).
As a Samsung official explained, this is simply because the error message hasn't been correctly written.
